• Get Movin', Get Fit - This is GYC's label for days focused on physical activities and sports. Staying active and fit is important!

• Teaching our youth the importance of planting, growing, and harvesting our own yummy fruits and vegetables to utilize into our Life Skills Cooking program.

• GYC partners with the Safe Sitter program that teaches participants what they need to know to become a certified Sitter. The Safe Sitter Program runs throughout the year.

• Our Living Skills Program is held at St. Paul's Parish Hall (reflect current calendar). Our members are learning proper hygiene and kitchen safety rules while creating simple meals. Members are encouraged to demonstrate various objectives such as reading ingredients, measuring and time management skills while having fun! The Daily Living Skills Program is essential in developing communication skills, teamwork, critical thinking, decision making skills, raising confidence, responsibility, and independence for all of our participants as they grow into adulthood.

Emily Crawford from Em’s Art Shack shows us how to make various items with clay. Carving, painting and then taking home our creations. Fun for all ages!

Our community garden plots have an array of fruits and veggies that we plant, watch as they grow and harvest them what ready. Utilizing what we have grown in our Plant-2-Plate program. Gardening is a hands on, healthy, fun activity. Youth develop skills such as self-regulation, mindfulness, responsibility and self confidence as they learn about science and nature from growing there own food.
